Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how 9GG LLC ("9GG", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use LinkNest (linknest.9gg.app), whether as a page owner or as a visitor to a published page. We are committed to handling your data lawfully, fairly, and transparently.
1. Data we collect
- Page content you create. Your display name, bio, avatar emoji, and links are stored in your own browser (localStorage) while you build. If you publish your page or claim a branded URL, that content is stored on our servers so it can be shown to your visitors.
- Owner email address. When you publish a page we ask for your email. We use it to verify page ownership, send recovery codes if you lose edit access, and send occasional important service messages about your page. We send product news or offers only if you opted in when publishing, and every such email includes an unsubscribe option. Your email is never shown on your public page and never sold or shared for others' marketing.
- Visitor analytics (cookie-free). When someone views a published page or clicks a link, we record the event with a timestamp, the page ID, and the clicked link's URL/title. To avoid counting the same visitor twice within 30 minutes, we compute a truncated one-way SHA-256 hash derived from the visitor's IP address and browser type. We do not store raw IP addresses in analytics, and we do not use analytics cookies or cross-site tracking. Analytics events are automatically deleted after 120 days.
- Server logs. Like virtually every website, our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated and retained only briefly.
- Correspondence. If you email us, we keep the email and your address so we can reply.
2. What we do NOT do
- We do not sell or rent personal data — and never have.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers on LinkNest pages ourselves.
- We do not profile visitors or combine analytics across different owners' pages.
3. Third-party content on published pages
Page owners may insert their own advertising or sponsorship snippets into their pages. Such third-party code is chosen by the page owner, not by us, and may set cookies or collect data under that third party's own privacy policy. We do not control it; concerns about ads on a specific page can be reported to support@9gg.app.
4. How we use data
- To operate the service: hosting your page, resolving your branded URL, showing you your own analytics.
- To protect the service: rate-limiting, abuse and fraud prevention, debugging.
- To respond to you when you contact us.
Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors): performance of a contract (running the page you asked us to host), legitimate interests (security, de-duplicated view counting), and consent where required.
5. Sharing
We share data only with infrastructure providers that host our servers, and with authorities if legally compelled. We may disclose data to protect the rights, safety, or property of 9GG, our users, or the public.
6. International transfers
9GG LLC is based in the United States and our servers may be located in the United States or Europe. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Retention
Published page content is kept until you delete it or ask us to. Analytics events expire after 120 days. Server logs are kept only for short rotation windows. Support email is kept as long as needed to handle your request.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use sensitive personal information beyond providing the service. To exercise any right, email support@9gg.app — we respond within 30 days.
9. Children
LinkNest is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
